But the 34-year-old is also facing a separate legal issue. He has been hit with a $100,000 gambling debt, which he allegedly borrowed from a Detroit casino.

According to TMZ, MotorCity Casino Hotel has filed a lawsuit against the rapper over the six-figure sum.

The casino claims Offset opened a line of credit in March 2024 to fund a night of gambling.

According to the report, the casino was unable to recover the money after attempting to withdraw the agreed amount directly from Offset's account.

It is alleged that there were insufficient funds to cover the debt.

The situation has now escalated, with the casino suing Offset for "breach of contract, fraud, and more."

A representative for the rapper told TMZ that "we are working toward a resolution."

The lawsuit was reportedly filed just days before the shooting in Florida.

This is not the first time Offset has faced financial issues. He previously paid more than $1.5 million to the IRS after being hit with a federal tax lien.

Shooting Incident Leaves Rapper Hospitalized

Earlier that same day, Offset was seen smiling and posing with fans before the situation took a violent turn.

He was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

TMZ reported that a spokesperson later confirmed the rapper is "fine" and "is currently at the hospital receiving medical care."

The representative added that Offset is "stable and being closely monitored."

Footage later circulated online showing the rapper in a hospital gown smoking outside of the facility.

According to Seminole Police, the shooting unfolded in the valet area of the casino at around 7 p.m.

Authorities confirmed that Offset sustained "non-life-threatening injuries" before being transported to Memorial Regional Hospital.

Reports suggest the shooting followed an altercation between Offset's entourage and fellow rapper Lil Tjay's crew.

Lil Tjay was later booked for "disorderly conduct" and released from jail the following day.

The incident comes after Offset's Migos bandmate and close friend Takeoff was fatally shot in November 2022.
