It's a pretty sure thing that someone on The Price is Right will walk out with their pockets a little more padded out. But, on the Friday, May 8 episode, someone walked out with their pockets practically bulging.
That's because Vanesa, a retired veteran, walked out with almost $250,000 due to her astute guessing skills. According to Page Six, it's the single largest one-game payout in The Price is Right history. That's 54 years of wins big and small, toppled just like that.
In a move appropriate for the Mother's Day theme, her daughter was there in the crowd. She watched as her mother, clad in bright colors, predicted guess after guess.
And it's all thanks to the brand new "Lion's Share" minigame. If you're not a Price is Right aficionado, it's basically where players have to guess the price of groceries. That's certainly something difficult at the moment, right?
In any case, the more guesses tehy get right, they get one ball. But, they need to keep getting correct answers to keep their winning balls - making things get higher and higher stakes. The whole segment is sponsored by BetMGM.

The 'Price is Right' Contestant Won Some Pretty Crazy Stuff
So, Vanesa managed to get all five of her guesses correct. Good for her! You could practically see the excitement and shock on her face as the money kept snowballing.
She first won $2,500 - impressive in its own right. But, she kept going. A 10-times increase of $25,000, then two wins of $100,000. Crazy! To top it all off, her final ball revealed a trip for two to Morocco. That'll be a great place for her to splash her cash.
With the value of the Morocco trip sitting at around $13,000, her full money gains is around $240,150. And, as you could probably expect, she got super emotional. She started screaming and jumping, and even gave Drew Carey a big hug! The camera also panned to her daughter, who was applauding her massive win.
Carey was quick to congratulate her. "Vanesa, nice job. That's amazing. Happy retirement!" Congratulations indeed, Vanesa! I'm only a little jealous!
