Sykes, 39, has dealt with his share of live performance mishaps over the years, but being struck by a flying phone was a new one even for him.

The incident took place during the band's May 11 show in St. Louis, when an object hit the singer in the left temple while he was performing.

Footage of the moment quickly circulated across social media, showing Sykes immediately reacting after being struck.

"Who the f—-- just threw a phone at my f—----' head?" he shouted toward the crowd.

Later in the performance, fans noticed Sykes rubbing his temple and appearing visibly uncomfortable on stage.

According to Kerrang!, Bring Me The Horizon removed "YOUTopia" from the setlist following the incident. Sykes also skipped his usual trip into the crowd during "Drown."

The band still completed a 16-song performance at Enterprise Center that lasted more than 90 minutes, per Setlist.fm.

The set opened with "DArkSide" before moving through several fan favorites and closing with an encore featuring "Doomed," "Drown," and "Throne."

Oli Sykes Confirms Concussion but Returns to Stage

Sykes later addressed the situation directly on Instagram Stories, revealing he suffered a concussion but reassured fans that he was recovering.

"Alright everyone - just wanted to let you know I'm all good. The phone to the head definitely smarted and I ended up with a mild concussion, but the swelling's gone down a decent amount already," he wrote.

"Last night I was struggling a bit on stage afterwards because singing was putting a lot of pressure on the wound and making things feel a bit disorienting while performing, so I'm sorry on my part for what may of seemed like a half hearted performance. Appreciate everyone checking in and worrying about me though. Everything should be fine for tonight's gig."

The following night, Bring Me The Horizon returned to the stage for a full set at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.

The band will wrap up its current US tour on May 15 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont before heading into a packed festival run across the United States, Europe, and South America.

Later this year, Bring Me The Horizon will return to North America for the third leg of the POST HUMAN: NeX GEn tour alongside Motionless in White and The Plot In You.

The Canadian run begins on September 20 and concludes October 8 in Grand Rapids at Van Andel Arena.
