The 28-year-old NFL star faces allegations including battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, intimidation of a victim, and strangulation and suffocation.

According to authorities, officers from the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department responded to a disturbance complaint on Saturday morning.

Police later arrested Jacobs on Tuesday before transporting him to the Brown County Jail.

The Packers acknowledged the situation in a brief statement following news of Jacobs' arrest.

The organization said it is "aware of the matter involving Josh Jacobs. As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment."

Meanwhile, the NFL also confirmed it is monitoring developments surrounding the case.

"We are aware of the report and have been in contact with the club," the league said.

Hobart-Lawrence police chief Michael Renkas stated that the investigation remains active.

"This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time," Renkas said.

Jacobs has strongly denied the allegations through attorneys David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld, and Clarence Duchac.

"Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public," the statement read.

"We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course."

Jacobs Remains One of the NFL's Top Running Backs

Before entering the NFL, Jacobs starred at University of Alabama between 2016 and 2018.

The former Alabama standout entered the league as the 24th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft after the Las Vegas Raiders selected him.

In March 2024, Jacobs signed a four-year, $48 million contract with Green Bay.

Throughout his career, Jacobs has earned three Pro Bowl selections in 2020, 2022, and 2024.

He also led the NFL in rushing yards during the 2022 season while playing for the Raiders.

Last season, Jacobs appeared in 15 games, rushing for 929 yards and scoring 14 total touchdowns.

Across seven NFL seasons, he has totaled 7,803 rushing yards on 1,840 carries while scoring 74 touchdowns.

According to the New York Post, Jacobs could face discipline under the NFL's personal conduct policy as the legal process continues.

Authorities are expected to release further details as the investigation progresses.
