Despite appearing in over 750 episodes, voice actor Harry Shearer revealed that he has never watched "The Simpsons."

When asked if he believes the show has aged well, Shearer, who voices Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders and Principal Skinner, says he "doesn't know" because he "hasn't seen it."

Shearer, who has been with the show since its 1989 debut, was informed that networks frequently air reruns of the hit sitcom.

"That's what I hear! It's good to hear you say that," told The i.

Even though he has never tuned into the show, Shearer downplayed rumors that he dislikes being a part of the cast.

"No, I enjoy playing all these characters. It was the reason I did this instead of some other television show. Where you're pretty much limited to one character. I liked the idea of the variety of characters. And I still like that."

The Simpsons is One of the Longest-Running TV Shows

Since its debut in 1989, "The Simpsons" has released over 807 episodes (and counting). The series is now in its 37th season.

Centered around the Simpson family and their whacky adventures throughout Springfield, the series has been a staple of cable television for over three decades.

Astonishingly, the series has never been nominated for Best Comedy Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards.

"Family Guy" creator Seth Macfarlane took issue with this when his series was nominated over "The Simpsons," which was his show's inspiration.

"The Emmys are so up f***ed up," MacFarlane said earlier this month. "So much of it is nonsense. First of all, it's nonsense that we would get nominated for best comedy when The Simpsons had not gotten nominated ever. That's weird. It's also weird that Family Guy never won best animated comedy in the 25 years."

Last year, it was revealed that "The Simpsons" would air for at least four more seasons.

Additionally, Shearer confirmed that a second movie is in development.

The Simpsons Movie (2007) was produced on an estimated budget of $75 million.

Boasting an 87 percent fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, the film became a massive commercial success, grossing $536.4 million worldwide.
