[dropcap]B[/dropcap]luegrass duo Dailey and Vincent have made over 100 appearances at the Grand Ole Opry. But their performance on Dec. 30 may go down as the most memorable. During their set, country legend Marty Stuart surprised the award-winning musicians with an invitation to join the Opry.

The duo, made up of Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent, will be formally inducted on March 11. A stunned Dailey called the invitation "one of the most special things that's ever happened to us." Stuart made the announcement during the duo's performance, which featured appearances by John Carter Cash and his wife Ana Christina. Stuart and Connie Smith also joined the jam session.
The invitation to join the Opry comes ten years after Dailey and Vincent's Opry debut. They made their first appearance together on Dec. 29, 2007 during an Opry performance at the Ryman. Together, they've been named the International Bluegrass Music Association's Entertainers of the Year three times. Dailey has previously worked with Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. Vincent has also performed with Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder.

Dailey and Vincent's Opry induction comes on the heels of Crystal Gayle's Opry invitation on Nov. 15. Gayle will be formally inducted on Jan. 21 by her sister Loretta Lynn.
