Fans in Philadelphia got a surprise treat when Dustin Lynch sauntered out on stage at the Garth Brooks concert. It turns out Brooks invited Lynch to open his show, much to the crowd's delight.

Most of Brooks' shows feature openers, but rarely of Lynch's caliber. And of course, folks like Dustin Lynch owe much of their success to the high-energy, rockin' shows Garth Brooks pioneered in the 1990s.
But Dustin left all the theatrics to later in the night, instead choosing to play acoustically. The crowd swooned as he sang "Cowboys and Angels," of of his early hits (and one of the few songs to cut the noise in the bro country era).
Lynch also played some of his recent tunes stripped down a bit.
And while Dustin Lynch delighted the crowd, he also made a lot of people back at home jealous.
Gotta get on those Garth tickets early, Caitlin. They sell out in minutes and you just never know who is going to show up! And still the crowd recognizes the significance of opening for Garth Brooks. Even though Lynch technically has more recent hits on radio, there's just no comparing the crowds Brooks brings every night.
Lynch also covered Garth's massive hit "Friends In Low Places" last year for the "Forever Country" series. So maybe fans shouldn't be so surprised he showed up in boots.
Brooks heads out to Lubbock, Texas this weekend for a string of weekend shows. Word on the street is the panhandle town can't even handle its own excitement right now.
Dustin Lynch, on the other hand, heads to Las Vegas for some ACM Award celebrations before continuing his own tour later in April.
