During the last show, Lambert brought out Bowen and fellow Texan Randy Rogers for "Sing Me Back Home," a Merle Haggard tune they worked up just a few hours before the show.
The Hag has been a tremendous influence on all three singer-songwriters, Rogers especially. When we spoke with Rogers earlier this year, he told us "Misery & Gin" is the one country song that holds the biggest spot in his heart.
"Drowning out heartache, drink by drink is as country as it gets," Rogers said. "The song is sad and real and poetic all at the same time - all the things Hag was a master at."
