Country Stars React to Parkland, Fla. School Shooting

Yesterday, 17 people were killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. The shooter has been identified as Nikolas Cruz, 19, who was previously expelled from the school. Police say that Cruz used an AR-15 rifle, the same type of gun used at the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas as well as the mass shootings in Sutherland Springs, Texas, San Bernardino, Calif., Aurora, Colo. and Newtown, Conn.

Many country music stars have taken to social media to share their shock, anger and frustrations over yesterday's events.

Sending my love and more importantly prayers to the folks in Florida on this Valentine?s Day. There aren?t many words to genuinely help, but I am sorry. For the loss, the hate and the terror. Lot of people praying for y?all, we love ya.

How terrible that a day that?s supposed to be about love has ended in violence? 17 killed by a semi automatic rifle in #Parkland and Congress does nothing... We are failing our children.
