Dolly Parton has shared her take on the Christmas classic "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," the latest release from her forthcoming Christmas album A Holly Dolly Christmas (out on October 2nd.)
"I always loved the song #ISawMommyKissingSantaClaus growing up and I knew I needed to record a version for #AHollyDollyChristmas. Parton wrote on social media. "I'm excited to share some of the joy of my own childhood with everybody through this song."
I figured since everybody probably wouldn't get to celebrate Christmas as usual this year, I wanted to be creative instead of sitting around at the house this summer," Parton said in a statement. "So I put on my mask, gloves and practiced social distancing, as well as all of the wonderful musicians and singers, and we proceeded to put together what I think is some of the best work that I've ever done."
Parton has also released a new line of holiday apparrel, featuring "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" shirts, "A Holly Dolly Christmas" sweatshirts and more.
The singer recently earned her first No. 1 on the Christian charts with the Zach Williams collaboration "There Was Jesus."
