Yearwood shared the news on Facebook 12 days after fellow country artist Garth Brooks revealed that she had tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). Prior to the February announcement, the couple had been quarantining together in Tennessee since a member of their team tested positive for the virus.
"The Queen and I have now tested twice," Brooks said on Feb. 24. "Officially, she's diagnosed as 'on her way out of the tunnel' now, though, which I'm extremely thankful for. Anyone who knows me knows my world begins and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will ride through this together."
Brooks did not test positive for the virus throughout Yearwood's recovery.
"My incredible husband is literally Superman and never got COVID- but still took all the precautions to keep everyone we know and love safe!," she wrote.
