Adam Levine and Blake Shelton's playful banter is well documented at this point. The pair would really elevate the quality of The Voice when they coached together. Jokes and absurd insults would fly all in the name of healthy competition. It's hard not to look at it as a big brother, little brother situation. Consequently, they're going to play pranks on one another.

However, celebrity pranks are a LOT more expensive than regular people pranks. So Blake and Adam go to much deeper extremes in jesting than us civilians. Recently, Levine went on an episode of Hot Ones, where he recalls trying to get something sweet for his partner Behati Prinsloo. He didn't exactly know what she was talking about, so he contacts Shelton for a little advice. That was probably his first mistake.
Adam Levine Reveals The Pricey Prank Blake Shelton Pulled On Him
"My now-wife, then-brand-new girlfriend, she said she really wanted a teacup pig," Levine recalls. "And I didn't know what that was, but of course the first person I would ask [would be Shelton]... So I asked Blake. I'm like, 'What's a teacup pig?' He's like, 'I'll get you a teacup pig. Yeah, give me five grand.'"
That seems all nice and sweet until Adam and his wife realize they got something much more than they were anticipating: an actual pig. Clearly, the couple didn't know what to do with the big ol' thing and end up giving it away after three weeks. Eventually, Levine sees from a distant that his little pig became a big behemoth months later.
"We had to give it to a little girl on a farm. We're like, 'Send us pictures! We can't wait to not be responsible for this animal anymore! Just show us pictures!'" Adam recalls. "She sends us a picture like six months later and the pig is like 400 pounds. I'm like, 'Dude, what if this animal had grown to be this big in my house?!'"
Naturally, Levine lashes out at his friend Shelton. However, the country crooner just can't stop laughing at the whole affair. He tells him there's no such thing and refused to give the five grand back. "I'm just like, 'Blake, bro, $5,000 for a pig that wasn't a micro pig?'" Adam adds. "And he's like, 'You're an idiot! There's no such thing as f---ing teacup pigs, you dumbass!' So that was a pretty good prank that he played on me."
