This incident comes amid rising concerns over air travel safety. Recent crashes have heightened public attention on aviation risks. On Monday, a plane carrying 80 passengers crashed in Toronto, flipping upside down on the runway. Miraculously, no one was injured in the accident.
Scary Time for Passengers
This crash marked the fourth major aviation accident in North America in just three weeks. On January 29, a commercial jetliner and an Army helicopter collided near Washington, D.C., near Reagan National Airport. The crash claimed 67 lives.
Two days later, on January 31, a medical transportation plane crashed in Philadelphia, killing six people on board and another individual on the ground. Just days later, a fatal crash occurred in Alaska on February 6, claiming the lives of all ten people aboard the aircraft.
Adding to the string of recent news, a tragic midair collision occurred on Wednesday in Arizona's Marana Airport. Two planes collided, killing two people. One aircraft was left in ruins, while the other landed safely. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the incident.
Another fatal aviation disaster occurred the week before the Toronto crash. A private jet owned by Motley Crue singer Vince Neil veered off the runway at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona, colliding with another plane. The pilot lost their life, and Neil's girlfriend was hospitalized.
The growing number of crashes and emergency incidents has raised passengers' alarms about aviation safety in North America.
