Ashley Cooke still can't believe she has a song out with Joe Jonas. The rising star shares her talents with the Jonas Brothers member to sing "All I Forgot." The song is from Cooke's upcoming sophomore album. "All I Forgot" was nearly finished when it was sent to Cooke, who added her part before suggesting adding Jonas to the genre-bending track.

"It was a really fun process," Cooke tells Holler. "The song was sent to me by my manager, I listened to it and I was like, 'Man, this is really cool'. One of my favorite writers, JKash, wrote on the song. He's huge in the pop space, and he's a great writer."
"They needed a bridge on the song, so I was like, 'I think I could whip something up,'" she continues. "Within a matter of like 15 minutes after hearing the demo, I wrote a bridge and sent it back to them. We kind of had this virtual collaboration, which is so not typical for Nashville. It's not how I have always done things, but it was fun to get to do, and to mix the LA world and the Nashville world."
Adding Joe Jonas To "All I Forgot"
"All I Forgot" was already completed when Cooke had the idea to add another artist. Fortunately, it didn't take long for Cooke to realize that Jonas would be the perfect voice to combine with hers.
"We were like, 'This could be a really cool song to have a feature on - especially a pop feature.' We threw out some ideas and landed on Joe Jonas, and reached out to his team. He was super excited about it, hopped on the song and now we're friends and playing shows together!"
Cooke still can't quite believe that she has a song out with someone from arguably one of the most famous boy bands of all time.
"It's kind of crazy how that all came together," the 27-year-old says. "He's just a savant in his own right. He's incredible. We got to throw around ideas, and he was part of the production of it, too. Again, it was a crazy way that all these people got involved in this song, and I'm just glad to be a part of it and have my name on it".
Neither Cooke nor Jonas are strangers to country collabs. Cooke joins Brantley Gilbert on "Over When We're Sober," while the Jonas Brothers join Rascal Flatts on "I Dare You." Cooke will join Kane Brown on his The High Road Tour later this year.
