A singer prizes their voice above almost all else. It represents their career, their ability to perform, and to record. So if an artist has a vocal problem, that is a real professional challenge. Hopefully, such issues are just temporary. Having said that, country singer Ashley McBryde recently disclosed per People that she is now dealing with a vocal cord issue that requires her to rest her voice for the time being.

McBryde Announced The News on Social Media
In a video posted to Instagram on August 6, the singer said via jotted-down notes she held up that she is presently doing vocal rest. Per the outlet, McBryde explained, "Hi guys! So ... I hurt my throat. So, NO TALKING if I want to be able to sing to you."
She mentioned, "This would be a good time to practice some A.S.L.. Say things like: Hi! Nice to meet you! Good to see you! That way we don't have to cancel meet + greets. Let's try together."
Someone out of camera range is reading each handwritten note out loud. As they do, the singer adds sign language to communicate her current situation. She seems to be trying to make the best of a frustrating plight.
The caption reads like this. "Trybe, doc says I'm working on busted up vocal cords. The last thing I wanna do is cancel any meet greets or Heaven forbid SHOWS. So let's try this for this week!"
Her Upcoming Concert Schedule Is Pretty Hectic
As the outlet mentions, "McBryde has a series of shows scheduled for the remainder of the month." Her tour is slated to end in mid-December when McBryde has her Redemption Residency at Eric Church's Nashville bar, Chief's.
