"Today marks 3 years since my last drink," McBryde writes. "My last time being 'that guy' in my social and professional circles. The last panicked phone call for help. The final slip up that caused the intervention from those that love me and the shift in me allowing me to say 'that's enough.' The details are known by those who are deserving of such painful information."

The 41-year-old doesn't share more information about the occasion, but she does say she is profoundly grateful for her sober life, at least now.

"Gratitude is the guiding light today," she says. "Grief is okay. A version of me had to die off so I could become myself. I have love for her and every other version of me that had to exist so I could stand by this waterfall today. Thank you for the ability to stand here. Celebrating by connecting to Mother Earth was just the kind of party I needed. If you're struggling, reach out. You aren't alone and don't have to be. You're gonna be delighted at how many of us there are. I love you, keep going."

Why Ashley McBryde Chose To Get Sober

McBryde will likely always keep the details of her intervention private. Still, the Grand Ole Opry member did give some insight into what she was like while still in the throes of addiction, when celebrating her 1000th day of sobriety.

"1,000 days, 1,000 moons," McBryde writes. " 1,000 hangovers skipped, 1,000 drunk 'I'm sorrys' I didn't have to say ...I see the woman I am now and the woman I am on my way to being," she adds. "And I have love and compassion for the woman I was and I care for her daily."

McBryde also offers encouragement for others battling addiction.

"Wherever you are in your journey, day 1, day 0.... Day 400 or day zero again for the 10th time, it is worth it," she maintains. "Every day is a milestone. Every version of you was necessary to be who you are now. So love them."
