On the second of February, Beyoncé announced her Cowboy Carter Tour. However, tickets weren't available for purchase until the eleventh. People knew they were going to be expensive because Beyoncé tour tickets always are, but nobody was ready for the reality.
"Beyonce and Ticketmaster got me f****d up. $950 for a decent seat before fees?!!!" one X user wrote.
When the tickets came out on sale, Beyoncé fans were astounded by her greed. Apparently, her $800 million net worth isn't high enough. She's looking to become a billionaire this year, baby. Many fans are shocked at just how much they're paying to see her play.
People are paying hundreds for tickets, with dynamic pricing on many sites further inflating the cost. Compared to the previous Beyoncé tour, the tickets are astronomical. We're dealing with very high prices.
Another wrote, "And the resellers are going STRAIGHT TO HELL for charging $4000 to $6000 for a resale ticket."
Fans Are Not Happy With The Beyoncé Tour Price Gouging
Many fans are put out by the fact they will stand no chance of being able to see their favorite singer perform. Her exorbitant pricing has meant that a good deal of people can't even dream of seeing her live. It has made her tour something reserved only for the elite.
It doesn't help that sellers like Ticketmaster are essentially just scalpers now either. Beyoncé fans online are lamenting the state of the Beyoncé tour prices. One wrote, "If Robert Smith of The Cure can keep prices low, so can behemoths like Beyoncé. At this point, you're basically telling your fans that if you can't afford these insane prices, you don't deserve to go. Large-scale concerts are strictly for rich people now, good stuff."
There are still many artists out there who choose to keep their live shows open to anyone able to get a ticket. Of course, sometimes managing to get a ticket is the hard part, but at least everyone can afford it. Pricing tickets so high really speaks volumes about an artist's opinion of their fans.
It is a shame that Beyoncé has been so greedy with her ticket pricing for the upcoming Cowboy Carter tour. She clearly isn't doing it for the love of music anymore, and simply for the love of money.
