‘Big Brother’ Star Dead at 35 Following Multiple Cardiac Arrests

After suffering a series of cardiac arrests earlier this week, this star from the 27th season of 'Big Brother' has died.

Mickey Lee has died at the age of 35. She appeared in the most recent season of the CBS reality series Big Brother. The family made the announcement on Lee's Instagram page this morning. The event curator from Atlanta was an early favorite to win the 27th edition of the show.

What Happened to Mickey Lee?

Lee became Head of Household in Week 2. But she soon turned on her allies, leading to her being nominated for eviction three consecutive weeks.

She survived her first two eviction attempts, but after 59 days, she was voted out, finishing 10th.

As we reported earlier this week, her family shared on Instagram that Lee "suffered a series of cardiac arrests following complications from the flu and is now in the ICU in critical but stable condition."

In response, the family had set up a GoFundMe to help Lee cover hospital bills and recovery costs. Additionally, her fellow Big Brother contestants, including Jimmy Heagerty, Lauren Domingue, and Zach Cornell, shared their support.

A Heartbreaking Update on the 'Big Brother' Contestant

Lee remained in critical but stable condition through Christmas morning and died that evening.

"With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening," the message read.

"Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on 'Big Brother', where her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike. She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed both on and off screen."

Fellow contestant Rachel Reilly wrote, "She will always be remembered and I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her for the short period I did- she shared so much light with us and was such an amazing soul."

"This is so heartbreaking," added Bayleigh Pelham. "I'm so happy she got to live out an experience of a lifetime on ['Big Brother'] and share her light with the world. I'm honoured to have met her for a brief moment. She was SO kind and beautiful, I was truly amazed by her light. This one hurts. Sending all my love to her family and friends ."
