Furthermore, in his personal life, Belichick has gotten a fair amount of flak over his May-December romance with Jordon Hudson. (She just turned 25. He will be 74 on April 16.) However, now the feisty footballer reportedly has a new headache to grapple with. Belichick is allegedly being sued by a housepainter who claims that he was injured while on the job in 2024 at a property that Belichick owns in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Per a court document obtained by The Nantucket Current, the housepainter is suing for $285,436.89. The entity that is actually being sued is Forty Five Fair Street LLC, which is reportedly owned by Bill Belichick. It is the address of the home where the alleged accident took place.
Belichick's Nantucket Home Is Cozy and Costly
Per The Nantucket Current, the iconic coach bought the pricey home in 2024 for a cool $4.8 million. Constructed in 1983, the dwelling is a "four-bedroom, four-bath gambrel-style home [that] was renovated in 2017." Leafy, upscale Nantucket is apparently a favorite getaway for Belichick.
As for his sports reputation, what can you say about a coach who has six Super Bowl rings from his time with the Pats? He and now-retired QB Tom Brady were arguably the best combo in football history. Belichick is now the coach of the UNC Tar Heels. They notched a 4-8 record in his debut college coaching season.
The Housepainter Alleges There Was an "Unsafe Work Area"
The complaint was filed on Thursday, April 2, 2026, and obtained by The Nantucket Current. According to that document, the housepainter, Andrew Jackson, claims that unsafe conditions existed at the property "on or about June 21, 2024." Those conditions supposedly included "plastic sheeting or coverings."
Jackson alleges that he fell while doing work at Bill Belichick's home. Per the complaint, he claims that he sustained physical injuries such as "a severe right ankle injury," plus numerous other related damages. The complaint also mentions that Jackson allegedly suffered "lost wages," "emotional distress," "physical pain," diminished "enjoyment of life," and "mental anguish."
