Billy Joel Postpones Concert Due To Upcoming Medical Procedure

Fans tend to be very protective of the stars they love. Whether they are on TV, in films, or make records, people care about the well-being of famous artists whose work they enjoy. Per American Songwriter, Billy Joel, 75, canceled a concert in Hollywood, Florida, scheduled for January 17 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. There must have been some furrowed brows and anxious moments on the part of his loyal fans. The ambiguous reason given for the cancel on Instagram was a "medical procedure." The concert will now take place on November 1 instead, per the Hard Rock web site.

Joel posted on Instagram, ""I'm disappointed to share that I must postpone my concert at Hard Rock Live. I appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone in November."

There was also this information for those who bought tickets. "For guests who have already purchased tickets, all tickets for the originally scheduled Friday, Jan. 17 will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Guests who can no longer attend can get refunds at point of purchase within 60 days, by Tuesday, March 11."

He Plans A Hectic Tour Schedule

Joel Intends To Give A Number Of Concerts In Upcoming Months

Per American Songwriter, Billy Joel already has a bunch of exciting concert dates lined up for this year. They include appearing with Sting in Indianapolis on February 8, plus going solo in Connecticut on February 22, and in Toronto on March 15. Per the outlet, Joel will share a stage with Sting a few more times later in the year, on "April 11 in Syracuse, New York; April 26 in Milwaukee; May 10 in Charlotte, North Carolina; and May 23 in Salt Lake City."

He will also do a pair of shows with Stevie Nicks on March 29 and August 8. Joel will be teaming for concerts with Rod Stewart in Pittsburgh on July 8 and at Yankee Stadium on July 18.
