Billy Joel's daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, has shared her thoughts on her father's documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes. She called the film an "emotional whirlwind."

Billy Joel: And So It Goes is set to release on HBO Max in two parts, premiering on July 18 and July 25. A private viewing was hosted a week before its release, however, and Alexa Ray Joel got to attend with her mom and dad.
She shared her honest opinion about the film to her Instagram under some photos of her and the man of the hour.
"Without giving anything away, lemme just tell you... it's astounding," she shared.
"What an emotional whirlwind to delve into both parts," she continued. "We laughed, we cried... we relived many beautiful, poignant, painful, and bittersweetly-nostalgic family memories."
Alexa Ray Joel is featured in the second part of the documentary. "This is a fearlessly raw, reeling, and shockingly intimate portrait of My Father."
"The deeply layered narrative insights into Dad's richly-textured history left me stunned."
Apparently, she also learned new things about her father through the documentary.
"Congrats To My One-Of-A-Kind Father on a masterpiece in true storytelling... I know you're not all that impressed or intrigued with yourself, but the rest of us certainly are."
Alexa Ray Joel Has Only Praise For Her Father's Documentary
Billy Joel: And So It Goes promises to reveal the complicated and raw history of the "Piano Man" singer. Alongside his daughter, his ex-wife, Christie Brinkley, also features in the documentary.
I'm sure her "five star rave review" will have fans wanting to see the documentary even more. It's only a week away, so you've just got to wait a little longer.
