Like thousands of others, Trace Cyrus was concerned for Billy Ray after his performance and has spoken out about it. But, Billy Ray Cyrus has threatened to sue his son for offering his help.

Anyone who saw Billy Ray Cyrus perform at the Liberty Ball will know what I am talking about when I say it was a mess. The old rocker looked dreadful even before he hit the stage, with many comparing his new look to that of Rob Zombie.
His appearance was just the prelude to a terrible show. On stage Billy Ray Cyrus stumbled around, paid little attention to actually singing, and then croaked out the worst rendition of 'Achy Breaky Heart' I have ever heard. Understandably, his son, Trace Cyrus, showed concern.
However, since speaking out about it, Billy Ray has threatened his son with legal action, according to an online post. In a revealing Instagram tell-all, Trace Cyrus has pleaded with his father to get help. It's slightly odd to be doing it online, but whatever.

In the post, Trace Cyrus begs Billy Ray to go and get help. Despite apparently being threatened with legal action, Trace continues to ask his adopted father to clean up his act.
"Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel. I'm not. Get help," he says. "For you to threaten me with legal action for wanting you to get help is a disgrace. Pappy is looking down at you with such disappointment I can assure you. You should be ashamed of yourself. I will always love you but I no longer respect you as a man."
He has been incredibly brutal by posting this online. He could certainly have had this kind of conversation face-to-face, rather than in front of his almost 700k followers. But, maybe Billy Ray Cyrus just won't listen to his son any other way.
Billy Ray Cyrus got a divorce from the mother of his son not so long ago. Many are attributing his ill health and appearance to this. However, Firerose told People Magazine that this had been going on for a while. "It's very sad to see those same struggles continue for him, but I'm glad the truth is coming to light — for his potential good because healing is only possible when you confront the truth and accept there's a problem," she said.
It appears Billy Ray Cyrus needs some help, and his son is not the first one to try to make him see it.
