Billy Ray Cyrus Breaks Silence About Disastrous Inauguration Performance

After being given the opportunity to perform at the inauguration ball of President Donald Trump, Billy Ray Cyrus put on a dreadful show, but he's spoken out about it. I'm not convinced.

Watching the performance, it was clear that Billy Ray Cyrus was experiencing some technical difficulties. However, many of them seemed to be with Billy Ray himself. He spent the majority of the beginning of his performance watching the big screen behind him, mumbling lyrics here and there.

For the second song, Billy Ray Cyrus whipped out "Achy Breaky Heart" for the confused inauguration crowd. This time, he sang acapella, and I used the word sung very loosely. He mumbled the words, croaking and creaking through the lyrics.

He referenced the technical difficulties at one point, asking "Check? Is anybody awake? Y'all want me to sing more or you want me to just get the hell off the stage?" Honestly, I think it was the latter.

It was clear Billy Ray Cyrus was having a few stage problems at the inauguration. However, when Carrie Underwood had the same issues, she still managed to give a worthy performance. Billy Ray stumbled and staggered like he was possibly drunk.

"That's Called Rock 'N Roll!!!" According to Billy Ray Cyrus

On January 22nd Billy Ray Cyrus spoke to People about his abysmal show at the inauguration. "I wouldn't have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar, and monitors worked or not. I was there because President Donald J. Trump invited me," he told the outlet.

Continuing, he further excused himself. "I had a ball at the Liberty Ball last night and I've learned through all these years when the producer says, 'You're on,' you go entertain the folks even if the equipment goes to hell. I was there for the people and we had a blast. That's called rock n roll!!!" The problem was that Billy Ray Cyrus didn't entertain anyone at the inauguration ball.

His performance was as far from 'Rock 'n' Roll' as possible. It was more than just the equipment that had gone to hell, so had he by the looks of it.
