Billy Ray Cyrus fans can rejoice. He has just released a new remix of his sensational classic hit, "Achy Breaky Heart," which caused a craze way back in 1992 when it originally dropped. Cyrus was handsome, talented, and commanded a stage like few others in the genre. He was truly impossible to ignore and so much fun to line-dance and listen to. People could not get enough of him and this amazing tune.

Even Cyrus himself fell in love with the track right away, per American Songwriter. "The first time Cyrus heard the hip-shaking hit, he stood up and declared: 'That's me. I want that. I've got to have that. That's everything. That's all my music that I was raised on. That feels so good.' There was nothing like Cyrus or 'Achy Breaky Heart' on country radio in 1992."
It's Cyrus' Birthday Present to His Fans
The public never forgot that song, with its propulsive beat and infectious hooks. Now it's back again for a second life, with all its signature features gloriously intact and even better.
Per a press release, Cyrus explained, "This year, for my birthday, I wanted to give something back. From the very first time I sang 'Achy Breaky Heart' in the spring of '91 to this remix today, it's all because of YOU. I teamed up with Don Von Tress [he wrote the song] and The Johnson Mill Branch Boys on a brand-new 'Achy Breaky Heart' (Remix) as my gift to the fans. None of this would have been possible without the support of y'all through the years. Hope you enjoy this birthday present from me to you."
The Song's Massive Success Was Undeniable
Per People, "'Heart' first climbed the country charts, then went mainstream, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 on its way to becoming a legitimate global phenomenon...." This was country as few, of anyone, had ever done it before.
Per the outlet via the Daily Independent of Ashland, Kentucky, Cyrus said this eight years ago. "For me personally it completed the body of work known as 'Some Gave All' and a decade of persistence, dedication, failure, successes and a will to strive for purpose through the music. A journey which led to a moment in time that just fit."
Now, thanks to Billy Ray Cyrus and others who worked on this remix, "Achy Breaky Heart" is enjoying a fresh new moment.
