Blake Shelton Admits He Only Listens To Himself At Home

Blake Shelton is a fan of country music, especially if he's the one singing! When asked who his favorite artist is to listen to when he is at home, the Oklahoma native has a hilarious - and likely untrue - answer.

"I crank all of my music all the time," Shelton jokes to Taste of Country.

"Twenty-four hours of Blake Shelton going on at Blake Shelton's house," he adds. "Come on in."

Whether or not he is joking, Shelton has plenty of songs to choose from. He recently celebrated his 30th No. 1 single, with "Texas." The song is the debut single from his latest For Recreational Use Only album, released in May.

"It's been a few years since I've had a solo No. 1 single, and I'm super fired up about this one," Shelton says of the honor. "I had no idea if 'Texas' would be a number one song, but the first time I heard it, I knew that it was something different and it sounded like nothing else I'd ever done before."

Blake Shelton Is Back With Another Hit, "Stay Country Or Die Tryin'"

Shelton will likely have another chart-topping single to add to his growing collection. His current single, "Stay Country Or Die Tryin'," is already in the Top 30.

"When I heard 'Stay Country or Die Tryin,'' it took me back to the first time I heard 'Ol' Red' or 'God's Country,'" Shelton says. "It's got so much energy and is full of those little catchphrases and things we say out in the country. I absolutely fell in love with it. I'm proud of this recording - and I love singing it live even more. Hopefully, you'll come catch a show and sing it with us."

The video for "Stay Country Or Die Tryin'" uses AI to capture the magic of the song, taking the viewer through all seven generations.

"I hope that fans see the video, and it helps them understand the lifestyle that we're singing about, and the lyrics of the song," Shelton explains. "This is seven generations of a family who have made their living off this same plot of corn they plant every year. And there are a lot of those families out there. They're all over the United States, and they're all over the world, actually. It's a source of pride for the person that's performing the song. I absolutely love the song, and I hope the video conveys that same message."
