‘Bling Empire: New York’ Star Lynn Ban Dies After Brain Surgery

After suffering a severe skiing accident and undergoing brain surgery, jewelry designer and star of Bling Empire: New York, Lynn Ban, was tragically found dead at her Tribeca home in New York City. It was her husband who found her unconscious on Monday, January 20. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She was 52.

The news of Ban's passing was shared by his son, Sebastian, who took to Ban's Instagram account to write a heartfelt message about his mother. He also shared many photos of the two, showing their beautiful relationship since Sebastian was just a little boy.

"My mum passed away on Monday. I know she wanted to share her journey after her accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would appreciate one last post sharing the news to people who supported her," Sebastian wrote. "Many of you followed my mum but never got the chance to know her or meet her in person. I would like to take the chance to share who my mum really was."

Sebastian then called Lynn Ban his best friend and best mother. He detailed how she was able to keep a smile on her face during her recovery. Described as a fighter, Sebastian wrote that his mother was the "funniest and coolest mum" he could ever ask for.

A Loving Mother

Sebastian would go on to praise Ban for taking her of her whole family. "Although she may be gone now, I will do everything I can to make sure she is never forgotten and for her life to be celebrated as it deserves to be," Sebastian wrote. "As a final message to my mum, I would just like to say that I will miss you forever and to end in something she always told me 'I love you more than life itself' mum."

Many of Ban's followers quickly reacted to the post Sebastian wrote, praising his writing and extending their condolences. "Lynn led an inspiring and incredible life, and was an extraordinary human ... mom, wife, artist, boss, queen," one user wrote. "She was always talking about you," stylist Tina Leung said to Sebastian. "Always. I remember her tearing up once when we were filming because she was thinking about you."

Star of the Bling Empire spinoff set in New York, Lynn Ban's career spans multiple decades. Celebrities such as Rihanna, Madonna, and Billie Eilish are among the many who used pieces of her collections.
