Usually, everyone wants a biopic. It's perfectly dramatic and can occasionally fluff up a celebrity's journey for the public. Instead of sorting through interviews and/or reading a book, they can conveniently sit down for a couple hours and get the vibe. With A Complete Unknown and the upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopics, it makes sense why everyone wants in. However, TV chef Bobby Flay would want something a little different if his story would be told. Film doesn't quite grasp him the way Broadway does.

Recently, Flay appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. There, he shares that he's currently workshopping how he's going to have his story told on Broadway. As ridiculous as it might seems, it's like a play on one of his Food Network shows. "We're making Beat Bobby Flay the musical actually for Broadway," he says to Fallon, who reacts as absurdly as you might think.
Bobby Flay Has His Dream Singer/Actor to Play Himself on Broadway
"Don't laugh, it's gonna happen... The whole thing's happening," he continues. "It's going to tell a little bit of my life story and it's gonna be a party. This is not gonna be a bunch of show tunes. This is gonna be amazing... It's gonna be a real New York situation where it's going to be a party every night in the theater."
So far, Bobby has his composer and writer, he's just in pursuit of his leading man. Fallon hams it up by asking if he could conjure up a Jon Hamm type for such an affair. But he already has an idea for who he wants. "No. We need JT. We need Justin Timberlake," Flay insists. "He hasn't won a Tony yet. Come on! He can sing, he can dance. He can do it all."
Fallon mostly plays this off as jest but Bobby is really manifesting this for the cameras. "I need your friend to help me out... I know that's an easy get," referencing how Jimmy Fallon and Timberlake are friends behind the scenes. We'll see if Flay can get what he wants or if he's going to have to settle for something lower in budget.
