Brad Paisley knows a thing or two about music. The Grand Ole Opry member is considered one of the best guitar players and songwriters of this generation, but even he can become enamored by other artists and their music, especially when that artist is the Eagles' Joe Walsh.

"I talked to Joe about this, Joe Walsh. Another perfect song, 'Life's Been Good,'" Paisley tells Rick Beato. "That's one song. And he even told me, he said, that whole (plays riff in 'Life's Been Good'), that's it's own song. And then he put them together and made them one song. He was writing them simultaneously as different things. And then, the words, which is as good as a lyric gets."
Paisley goes on to recite some of the lyric, which says in part, "I go to parties sometimes until four /
It's hard to leave when you can't find the door."
"It's just so good," Paisley boasts.
Brad Paisley Reveals His Biggest Country Music Hero
Paisley is a fan of all kinds of music. But when it comes to country, there is one artist who stands out above the rest: Alan Jackson. It's Jackson who Paisley says he hopes to be like, especially after touring with Jackson early in his own career.
"I remember that first tour, it was Alan Jackson for me in the beginning," Paisley tells Country Now. "I was new, and I only did a few songs, and it was way early in the set. And it's a challenge, first of all, because half the people aren't in their seat yet, but it's part of the process."
Paisley might have been brand new, but Jackson treated him with respect and kindness. Ever since then, Paisley has tried to reciprocate that with artists opening for him as well.
"We always try to make sure everybody ... I want them to say, 'No one ever treated us that well again,'" he says.
Paisley has a few more dates on his Truck Still Works Tour, which includes Walker Hayes, plus Alexandra Kay, Avery Anna and Mae Estes. The tour is named after his latest single, which is a follow-up of sorts to his 2004 single, "Mud On The Tires."
