Brittany Aldean seems to have it all. The wife of country music icon Jason Aldean, she is beautiful, lives in a fabulous home, and is a loving, successful mom. But she has just shared a very private pain with the public. What Brittany says will resonate with many who are dealing with similar situations.

Her Instagram post is captioned "Our journey with dementia." The video shows Brittany and her father at different times in their lives, from many years ago to the present. The soundtrack is Jason Aldean's moving new song, "Help You Remember." The lyrics are almost too painful to bear. "Lord, I'd never thought I'd be / Missin' someone right in front of me...."
Brittany Wrote of the Awful "Heartache" That Dementia Brings to Families
She wrote in the post, "The heartache that diseases like this bring to a family is something we know all too well. we hope this song brings comfort to anyone going through something similar." Brittany ended it with a praying hands emoji. She also added, "Love you so much Daddy," with a red heart emoji.
Brittany warmly expressed her appreciation to each of the people responsible for writing the emotional track. "Thank you so much to the writers of this amazing song," she wrote gratefully. They are her husband Jason, Kurt Allison, Tully Kennedy, Lydia Vaughan, and John Morgan.
She Lovingly Called Her Father "the Sweetest Man"
Per Country Now, Brittany said, "I've talked to my dad about this video and sharing this story, and he is the sweetest man, and he's like, 'if it helps one person, then it was just totally worth it.' So it's something I was never going to speak on, but I just hope that if you're out there going through something similar, you're not alone."
Per the outlet via Instagram, Brittany also conveyed this. "This has been a day that I've been excited about, but also a little bit dreading just because when we put things out on social media, it seems like we tell so much of what's going on in life. But in actuality, we're very private people and you guys don't know a lot of stuff that goes on personally. And this is the time that I have started to share my dad's dementia journey through the reel that I just posted."
Her father's dementia surfaced five years ago. He was subsequently diagnosed with Lewy body dementia. Sadly, Jason Aldean's uncle had that condition as well.
