Jelly Roll Took His Infidelity Seriously
He acknowledged, "One of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife." At that time, the singer was trying to improve himself. Thus it must have seemed particularly frustrating that he fouled up that manner. He knew he messed up big-time.
Jelly Roll went on, "It was the first time that I was like, 'I really can't get this right at all.' Like, I know I'm in love with this woman. You know what I mean? It just really, really, really blew me back."
They Are Apparently Stronger Now Because of What They Went Through
The "Need a Favor" singer "did a lot of work to repair that relationship." He explained, "We're stronger than we could have ever been. I wish our story would have went in the way where it never had an affair, and I'm in no way glad it happened. But man, I'm proud of who we are today."
He Recognizes That Sometimes He Still Inadvertently Lets Bunnie Xo Down
Jelly Roll mentioned one incident when he could have done better. He was traveling and Bunnie Xo, 45, kept calling him. She was evidently feeling the understandable strain of going through IVF. He conceded, "By the end of the night, she's like, 'I feel like we've hardly talked today,'"
He knew he fell short for her. "And in that moment, I know that she's nervous about this thing. She's hormonal, she needs security right now. She needs me to go, 'Baby, I'll talk to you all night if you want to.' But instead she got the 'Bunnie, we talked seven times today,'"
Jelly Roll scrambled to make things right. "I woke up and the first thing I did was repair. I send a text like, 'Yo, completely tone deaf moment on me... I was so in my own [expletive] I didn't care about you. How I really feel is I love you and we're gonna be good."
