One of the reasons Jelly Roll is relatable to so many people is that he's always honest about his past. The singer has never been one to shy away from talking about struggles with addiction and weight loss, but this week, he showed us a new side to his relationship with his wife, Bunnie Xo.

On an episode of the Human School podcast, Jelly admitted to something that he's not all too proud of. Although he and Bunnie are "stronger than they've ever been", there was a time when this wasn't the case.
"One of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife," the "Need A Favor" singer shared. "Because it was the first time that I was like, 'I really can't get this right at all. I know I'm in love with this woman.' It just really, really, really blew me back."
He went on to explain that it was toxic friendships in his life that were actually influencing his poor decisions at the time. "I was hanging around a bunch of people that were cheating on their wives. When I was doing cocaine, I was hanging around a bunch of people that were doing cocaine." He admitted, "I used to be proud of long-standing friendships just because they had a number attached to them," but also said that a lot of his friends at that point were "horrible humans."
Jelly told People that ultimately, he thinks going through that has made his relationship with Bunnie stronger than ever. "I wish our story would've went in the way that it never had an affair, and I'm in way glad it happened, but man, I'm proud of who we are today," he said.
Bunnie Xo Tells Fan That "Growth Isn't Weakness"
Every time a public figure shares something vulnerable with the internet, there are always going to be people that have their own opinions about it. Recently, after a fan made a comment about the affair, Bunnie made it clear in an Instagram story where her feelings about it truly lie. The story has since expired, but here's what she had to say.
The comment read, "Oh my dear. Your husband had an affair on you. You took him back and have sung perfection since. I'm super bummed. We can't look up to you now." Most people would have probably been taken aback by a comment like this, but Bunnie was quick to respond with grace and wisdom.
She wrote in response, "It actually takes a stronger woman to face pain head-on, do the work, and rebuild with the man she loves — instead of running or gossiping. Growth isn't weakness, it's grace. But not everyone's built for that kind of strength. I pray you never have to feel that pain bc you're judging another woman's life.??"
At the end of the day, how the couple chooses to deal with these situations is personal. Bunnie handled the call out beautifully, and we're happy to see that she and Jelly Roll are in such a good place.
