Candace Cameron Bure Reveals She Almost Called It Quits With Husband

On the most recent episode of The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast, a bombshell was dropped. Candace Cameron Bure admitted that she and her husband were on the rocks during the pandemic. Yeah, the also famous Valeri Bure and her might not have stayed together.

Candace Marraige Last?

I'm so, so sorry, that's a terrible pun, but I couldn't help myself. As I said before, Candace stated on her podcast that she and her husband almost called it quits.

More specifically, she said, "Val and I went through a really, really rough season in our marriage in 2020, and that's when the pandemic hit," She and Val were not alone in this endeavour, though. Plenty of couples did not survive the pandemic. Or any of the years that followed it. Tough to spend that much time with another person, especially when before you only had to spend evenings and mornings with them.

She continued, "It was going south quickly, and we were like, 'I don't know, don't think ... we're gonna make it through.'" Probably one of the most brutal admissions either celebrity has had to admit out loud.

How Were They Saved?

Candace and Valeri's marriage was actually saved because of their kids and religion. A beautiful mix of the two actually.

Candace stated on their podcast that her son, Lev, preached to the couple. In her own words, "At one point, Lev, Maks and Natasha, but Lev was the one leading the charge. He came up to us and said, 'We'd like to talk to you guys.' Val and I sat down and Lev preached, like, a 45-minute sermon on marriage to us. Just had his Bible open on the couch and just talked about it."

That's some pretty powerful stuff for a 25-year-old. I certainly don't know how I'd handle watching my parents drift apart. I imagine it would be incredibly difficult. And he handled it like a professional.

She then added, "And I'll never forget, 'cause he said, 'You know, I know I haven't been married. I'm just a young kid. And so it's probably hard to take marriage advice from someone this young [who] never experienced it before. But I don't need to be married to know what the word of God says,'"

I guess the message here is to have kids if your marriage is failing. (Totally kidding, this is a terrible idea.)
