Candace Cameron Bure married her husband, Valeri Bure, a former NHL player, on June 22, 1996. Ever since then, they have supported each other in their careers. However, while watching Bure's movies, the couple decides to fast-forward her kissing scenes if they pop up on screen.

Bure and Danica McKellar sat down with Fox News Digital to promote the first Great American Family Christmas Festival, which started on November 22 and will end on December 22, 2024. While talking about the festival, Bure revealed details about how she and her husband deal with her on-screen kisses with other fellow actors.
"I don't think it's as comfortable for anybody - maybe if you're an actor married to another actor - it's just never comfortable to watch your spouse in the arms of someone, even though it's a peck or a kiss or anything," she told the outlet. "We have those honest conversations. He's like, 'I don't really want to watch that part' and 'I don't want to put you through that.' But ... we kind of worked through those feelings to a place where we both feel good and supported through it."
She would later say that, whenever a kiss scene takes place, she would just grab her husband and kiss him instead.
A Christmas Movie Career
Candace Cameron Bure also talked about her Christmas movie career and how she loves making them. "I didn't imagine that 15 years ago when I made my very first one that this would be such a massive genre for so many years," Bure said. "But I keep making them because people love them... people feel so touched, and they mean something to them, whether it's a new tradition that they've created for their own families or because they watch some of our movies, and they connect in some way that's meaningful."
In 2022, Bure became the Great American Family Channel's chief creative officer, which led her to organize the first-ever Great American Family Christmas Festival. With the festival, Bure wants to create a family-friendly environment so that families can "experience Christmas" as if they were in one of the Great American Family Channel's movies.
The festival features movie screenings and those who attend can meet the stars, take part in holiday activities like writing letters to Santa, take pictures with Santa, and even go ice skating, among other experiences.
