We're not sure why National Rum Day, celebrated on August 16, isn't on the same date as International Talk Like a Pirate Day (September 19), but we are sure no one will complain if you throw in an "Arrr, Matey" during happy hour this Thursday, especially if you say it while handing them a fine shot of rum or fun rum cocktail. Last week we told you about Captain Morgan Jack-O'Blast, the pumpkin spice rum that's sure to be in your drink rotation this fall. But that's not the only flavored rum you can pour on National Rum Day. Captain Morgan Apple Smash is the green apple flavor mixed with Caribbean rum of your dreams, so if pumpkin isn't your thing, try this lovely bite of fruit.

That's right; the round, bright green bottle is the adult version of the stickers you sought out as a kid. It's also definitely an adult drink, coming in at 60 proof and 30 percent ABV.
The apple rum is one of the Captain's line of famed rums, which also includes Captain Morgan Loconut, Cannon Blast, Watermelon Smash, and our favorite, the pumpkin-y Jack-O'Blast.
