This Carrie Underwood Surprise Christmas Performance at a Nashville Church Is the Gift That Keeps on Giving

Carrie Underwood surprised worshippers at a recent church Christmas concert as she took to the stage to wow everyone in attendance

Carrie Underwood has never kept her faith a secret. She's a proud Christian and has never shied away from the influence her religion has had on her music. So, it's not too much of a surprise that Underwood made a shock appearance at her Nashville church's annual Christmas concert. During her appearance, she sang "O Holy Night" and "All Is Well."

This isn't the first time Underwood has turned up at the church unannounced. She made a similar appearance last year, too.

As you would expect, Underwood's performance was captivating and has since gone viral on TikTok. And for anyone hoping that a repeat production will be in place next year, you may want to get yourself to the Rolling Hills Community Church's Sounds of Christmas concert.

However, if you do choose to make those travel arrangements, it's worth remembering that both of Underwood's appearances have been unexpected; there's no guarantee she will continue to grace the crowd with her exceptional voice and undeniable world-class talent.

Still, that might be a risk worth taking. After all, it's not every day you get an intimate Christmas concert from one of the world's greatest singers.

Underwood Has Previously Released a Christmas Album

In 2020, Underwood released a Christmas album called "My Gift." The album was produced by Greg Wells and was her seventh studio album. One of the tracks, titled "The Little Drummer Boy," holds a special place in Underwood's heart, as she recorded the song with her son, Isaiah.

"That's where the title of the album came from, and it's one of my favorite Christmas songs," Underwood said in a behind-the-scenes video. "I started thinking about what would make it extra special, so I have a very special duet partner. He loves to sing, and that is so his personality. He'll make crafts, or he'll do things for you, and he's like, 'Didn't I do a good job? Didn't I do my best? Are you proud of me?' And it's the sweetest thing. And I just thought his sweet little voice would sound perfect. If nothing else, I will have this for the rest of my life. I think it's the perfect piece of the puzzle for this whole album."

Maybe in a few years, once Isaiah is older, he will accompy Underwood to one of the church's Christmas concerts and those in attendance will get a special and heartfelt duet.
