Carrie Underwood struck the stage with Papa Roach for a live collab I was not expecting. But now I need even more of Underwood performing rock and metal tunes.

Papa Roach has been on their Rise Of The Roach Tour, and recently stopped off in Las Vegas. On April 5, Carrie Underwood surprised fans as she joined the band for some songs.
This is the first time they've performed live together, although it isn't the first time they've sang together. Eight months ago, Carrie Underwood and Papa Roach collaborated on "Leave the light on," a heavy song that touches on suicide.
When they joined forces in Sin City, they performed their duet, as well as some other songs, such as the ever-iconic "Last Resort."
And I must say, it's an incredible watch.
Carrie Underwood has been a long-time fan of rock and metal, and also just knows an extensive number of songs.
I really hope she does more of this sort of thing. Who knows, maybe we'll one day get her singing some Sabaton. (Please Carrie, they've got their Legendary Tour this year and they're making a stop in the UK in December and I'm going to be attending and—).

Given Carrie Underwood's recent political controversy (performing at Trump's inauguration), she's lost a lot of fans. The comment section of the clip that Papa Roach and Carrie Underwood shared is full of people loving the performance, and others who are criticizing the band for associating with her.
People took to the comments to share their thoughts.
"If she never did this again, I'd be fine with that. Love you guys, but no," wrote one.
"Jukebox Carrie is at it again," another complimented.
"Feel like having a country Trumper up on stage with you was an absolutely atrocious decision. Hard no," denied someone else.
"Carrie underwood is f--king awesome. So rad you got her to come out and join," pumped another.
"That was dreadful, I wouldn't bring on that magat with you again," one criticized.
"This is actually CRAZY," hyped one more.
As you can tell, the views are extremely mixed.
