Country artist Nat Myers has been battling with a rare cancer called sarcoma. He's been documenting his journey on his Instagram, where he remains honest and raw with his feelings at each step of the journey. He first announced his diagnosis in February.
Myers is a pretty small artist, but that hasn't stopped Charlie Crockett from stepping in to lend a hand. I don't know how Crockett found out about Myers' journey, but I'm glad he did. To raise funds to help Nat Myers in his expensive fight, Crockett is putting on a sweepstakes, and what a competition it is.
Announced in an Instagram collab, Charlie Crockett and Nat Myers presented their 1984 Cadillac sweepstakes.
"Our dear friend @natmyersyall is battling a rare cancer called sarcoma and has been in the hospital since February 9th of this year," the announcement read. "We want to help in any way that we can with the unforeseen medical expenses that come from something so unexpected like this."
You Could Both Help Nat Myers And Win A 1984 Cadillac
Explaining the sweepstakes, the announcement continued, "WE ARE HOLDING A SWEEPSTAKES FOR OUR
1984 CADILLAC THAT IS SIGNED INSIDE OF THE GLOVE BOX AND WILL BE DONATING PROCEEDS TO NAT'S MEDICAL EXPENSES."
If you want in, you have to donate to the cause. The more you donate, the more entries you'll receive in the competition. Each entrant can have a maximum of 10,000 entries.
You can only enter the competition if you live in the states, and the competition closes on May 23. On the 26th, the winner will be drawn and announced.
If you don't want Charlie's signed 1984 Cadillac for whatever reason, then it might help to know that its approximate retail value is $250,000. Sound more appealing now?
At the end of the day, the proceeds are going to Nat Myers' medical expenses, so there's no good reason not to partake.
Nat Myers has been incredibly open and brave about his ordeal. I'm so glad a fellow country artist is helping him out.
