A Chicago PD star is the most recent alias for hackers and scammers. He's become used to putting out fires, but I don't think he was ready for this type of inferno. I guess his name and likeness have become the most recent target for different internet trolls to impersonate.

I can only imagine how annoying that must be for the TV Star.
'Chicago PD' By Day, Scammer By Night
Benjamin Levy Aguilar had to send an update to all of his fans across social media the other day via Instagram.
The PSA used to be in the form of an Instagram story, but has since been put into his bio. It reads, "This account is my only form of social media".
Normally, that would be a very odd PSA to just drop in one's Instagram bio. But this has not been a normal month for Officer Dante Torres.
He has had to play major cleanup for this recent firestorm of concerned and confused fans. Apparently, there have been a multitude of accounts pretending to be the TV star and asking fans for money.
I have no idea if it's working for these scammers, but I really hope it's not. I think if I opened my dm's and saw that David Beckham needed my financial assistance, I would have a multitude of questions. There is no reason that any celebrity, even a 'small' TV star, would need money from their fans.
I feel pretty confident when I say that if he's starring on Chicago PD, he's doing ok financially.
Major Update From Officer Torres
The story that Aguilar initially posted as his PSA is long gone, as mentioned before, but what it contained is not.
The story itself read, "I'm addressing this because of the countless messages I have gotten from people (even my representatives) of how people reach out because they are being asked for money from fake profiles using my name and photos on Facebook or Instagram etc. So let me make it clear: This is the ONLY form of social media that I use...Please don't give away your money to fake profiles."
I bet the Chicago PD star was incredibly confused as people reached out to him, asking if everything was ok. And why he needed money.
Hopefully, the story helped them wise up.
