As styrofoam bans creep through the States, more and more Chick-Fil-A locations have opted for paper cups for their drinks. And the consumers are pretty upset about it.

At a glacial pace, environmental concerns have led to bans of certain products. The latest victim that more and more fast food consumers are waking up to is the styrofoam ban, which affects Chick-Fil-A big time.
Their styrofoam cups were not just a cup, but a point of enjoyment for many. So to see location after location adopt paper cups has left a sour taste in customers' mouths.
A disgruntled user took to Reddit to complain about "gross" paper cups. "I'm fine with the fries change, but taking away the styrofoam cup? This feels gross," they wrote. The user uploaded a photo of the paper cup in question.
Other posts complaining about the paper cups have been popping up on the official Chick-Fil-A Reddit forum. For the most part, people are not fans.
Thanks to changes in the law, however, consumers have to get ready to accept paper cups. At least until they find a better alternative. Which, let's be honest, isn't likely to happen. Paper cups abide by the law and are cheap.
It might be worth bringing your own cup to Chick-Fil-A from now on.
Chick-Fil-A Consumers Upset Over Drink Change
People took to the comment sections of such posts to share their thoughts over the changes.
"The paper cup sucks but nothing worse than the paper straws!!!" one exclaimed.
"I understand if it's better for the environment. I just reeaaallly wish we could find a similar alternative, because styrofoam really does keep that ice from melting nearly as fast," pined another.
"You're joking?!?!?" cried another who was blissfully unaware.
"The lids do not fit and now the ice melts so fast," complained another.
Not everyone is upset, however. Many either don't care, or are glad the styrofoam cups are gone.
"I personally dislike the styrofoam cups. Whenever I have them, I wonder if a loose small piece of styrofoam is floating around in my drink," shared one.
"Honestly, I'm glad. I HATE styrofoam. It squeaks," wrote another.
"Love these cups styrofoam sucks," simply put one more.
