Everyone always celebrates the bravery of troops and all the sacrifices they make when serving their country. That's the whole point of holidays like Veterans or Memorial Day. However, people can sometimes discard these veterans and their troubles after serving in the military. Their battles with PTSD and the lack of help they receive after their discharge can frequently go unnoticed. It can come to the point where these same people who protected us can end up homeless. This is the kind of plight that Yellowstone actor Cole Hauser wants to emphasize in his work with America's veterans.

Recently, Hauser spoke with Fox News at the Professional Bull Riding Finals during Memorial Day weekend. There, he emphasizes that dedication to the troops shouldn't just be a one-day deal. It certainly isn't for him. "Well, it's not just Memorial Day, it is every day, man," Cole says of honoring veterans. "One of my big interests is, how do we give back to the community? How do we put a message out there that inspires people to get up and follow their dreams?"

Additionally, he emphasizes the quieter battles that our former troops go through in battling PTSD. It's a mental and psychological warfare, just as much as it is about the physical ailments that come with their service. "Just because we're not in war right now doesn't mean that there are not a lot of veterans struggling," Cole says. "It's mentally, physically [exhausting]. And there's always going to be an opportunity to help them. It's near and dear to my heart. It's our responsibility to take care [them]."
Consequently, you can see him putting actions behind his words. Consider how he gives back financially through his coffee company Free Reign, or his work for the Warrior Foundation. Regardless, Cole Hauser is adamant about helping veterans wherever he can.
