Country Artists Spill the Sweet Tea on Their Favorite Christmas Gifts From Years Gone By (Exclusive)

Country music is all about tradition and heartfelt stories—so naturally, when the holidays roll around, the genre cranks up the feels and wraps them in a bow. Of course, it only makes sense that these expert storytellers could spin quite a yarn looking back on Christmases past...

Kick up your boots, and let's unwrap some Country music artists' favorite holiday memories—because nothing says Christmas like twang and tinsel...

First up, we have rising young singer-songwriter Jordana Bryant (featured in the top image in the holiday spirit and as a tyke some time ago). Bryant even dropped a new holiday track this season, "Home for Christmas."

Unsurprisingly, her favorite holiday gift ties right in with making music.

"My favorite gift I've ever gotten for Christmas is by far my first guitar," she recalled to Wide Open Country.

However, it seems Bryant was worried there wouldn't be quite enough Christmas magic to ensure her request made it under the tree...

" I remember being so concerned that a guitar wouldn't fit in Santa's sleigh and he wouldn't be able to bring me one," she admits, laughing. However, ol' Saint Nick managed to squeeze it in.

"Magically, on Christmas morning, there was a pink Daisy Rock guitar waiting under the tree," Bryant recalled.

That said, Bryant's family may have been giving Santa a bit of a side-eye for fulfilling the request...

"I spent the whole rest of Christmas playing it (badly, I'm sure) and having the best time!" Bryant remembered.

Country Music Artists' Practical (and Telling) Favorite Christmas Gift Memories

Meanwhile, singer Amy Jack had a practical favorite gift from back in the day.

"What comes to mind is when I had asked for an iron with ironing board one Christmas," the Oklahoma native recalled.

"One day I was opening the trunk of Mother's car, and I saw an iron and ironing board.  She hadn't promised me she could find one for kids, but I saw with my eyes that she delivered," she continued.

Jack recalled how busy her mom had been at the time, which made the gift all the more meaningful.

"She had a full-time job teaching kids at school and four kids at home. The real Christmas gifts are the memories built to last," Jack added.

Finally, singer-songwriter Becca Bowen has a Christmas gift memory that mirrors her "Country Barbie" persona...

"My favorite Christmas gift was the Holiday Barbie I would receive each year," she told WOC.

"I would ask Santa every year for the new one. I still remember as a child opening up such a beautiful doll and being so excited to receive it," Bowen recalled

That said, this cherished Christmas tradition continues to thrive to this day.

"I still collect Barbies to this day!"
