"It is with a clear mind and a loving heart that we have made the decision to end our marriage of almost 15 years," the letter in the post read. "We have come to realize after a great deal of deep soul searching that we are no longer suited to be married to one another. This is a very big decision which we have not taken lightly. As we move forward in our next chapter in life, we look forward to continuing to co-parent our 4 amazing children," the letter continued. "And we will definitely remain great friends. We look to our future with optimism, with love, and with great respect for one another."

Brett and Cecilia tied the knot in 2011. They have four children, two boys and two girls. The caption of their Instagram post read:

"Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigate this new chapter," that read. "We would like to share that we are all doing well and have quietly been separated now for a year and a half."

Brett Kissel Recently Released a New Album

We're only a few months removed from Kissel's latest studio album. Titled 'Let Your Horses Run,' the album features 10 tracks. Ironically, the song 'Two Of Us' is the most popular, amassing 3.6 million streams on Spotify.

"It seems weird to say, but I feel like a different person on this album," Kissel said on his latest work. "Maybe it's because I'm getting older and my priorities have changed. I've always been from the farm, but I never really dove into the country lifestyle as much as I have on this project—and it feels so good."

With a divorce now in the pipeline, Kissel will likely be back in the studio soon. After all, nothing fuels country music like a bit of heartbreak. However, both he and Cecilia will likely take a period out of the public eye.

Fortunately for everyone involved, the split appears to be amicable.
