This Country Music Star and His Wife Stand by Their Conservative Views Despite Blowback: "You're Not Going To Tell Us Any Different"

Country music fan favorite Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany, hold largely conservative views. In the highly fraught political and ideological climate we are now living in, that sometimes invites harsh criticism. They both just disregard it and boldly stand by what they believe. The Aldeans don't shy away from expressing themselves plainly.

Per Country Now via X, the famous couple recently attended AmericaFest, an event run by Turning Point USA, the organization launched be the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk. (He was slain in Utah in September. Kirk's wife, Erika, is now at the helm.) At the Phoenix-based convention, they spoke frankly of their strongly conservative orientation. Other celebs who were there included Rob Schneider, Danica Patrick, and Todd Chrisley.

Brittany Aldean Looks Past the Detractors

Per the outlet, she said to the throng at AmericaFest, "I am very outspoken. I'm very bold." Brittany Aldean went on to add, "I just don't really care what people think, which I think is a characteristic that the Lord gave me and knew that I was going to be in this position, honestly. I'm just used to people criticizing us, criticizing everything that we do."

From her explanation, it sounds like she and Jason agreed not to tiptoe around because some people don't like their political opinions. She shared, "So at that point, me and Jason in the kitchen one day were like, 'Okay, we feel this way. We know so many people do, but a lot of people are afraid to speak out or lose their job, lose their career, maybe a record deal. So is this something that because of the position we're in, we're going to just full steam ahead and talk about it and say, This is where we stand. We know a lot of you are with us. Let's go. Let's get on this train together.' And so Jason and I just decided from that point on, this is what we're doing." They both stuck with that decision whole-heartedly.

Jason Goes Along With That Stance

The Aldeans are willing to take the pushback because being authentic means so much to them. The singer said, "I think we live in a country now where a lot of times if you're a Christian, you're made to feel like that's a bad thing, which is just not the way either one of us was raised. It's not how we feel."

Jason understands that he and Brittany have a unique responsibility as popular public figures. "And we're in a unique situation to where a lot of things we do are kind of under the microscope as a couple and as individuals. And I don't know. I just feel like when you're in the situation we're in, you kind of have this obligation to speak out when you hear and see things that just don't seem right."

Jason also mentioned per the outlet, "You can think we're crazy, you don't have to agree with it, that's fine, but this is how we feel and you're not going to tell us any different."

People Have Varying Opinions of the Aldeans

Some defend Jason and Brittany's defiant stand. Others are negative. People bluntly expressed themselves about it on X.

"I will always support you for being unapologetic about your beliefs!! Thank you!!"

"Another wife that won't shut up. He's famous.. why does anyone have to hear her opinion? It goes both ways, first time a famous woman's husband thinks they're entitled to attention, I'd tell them to shut up too.. but that never happens."

"Who?"

"Love them"

"Heroes!"

"Gross"

"Let's go!! We Americans and Christian's got this!!...We need to save OUR COUNTRY!! Thank you guys"
