Jay Allen, who made it far as a contestant on season 22 of The Voice, has just announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Reneé Lynn. However, some fans aren't too thrilled about the update, as it follows his divorce from singer Kylie Morgan. The kicker: Allen went through the divorce just seven months before his current engagement.

On Instagram, Allen showed off his new fiancée. "SHE SAID YES!!!!! Merry Christmas to my beautiful @renee_lynn_r," Allen captioned the photos. "With a sober mind, I can confidently say that I'm in love with you and want a family with you. God only knows what we've both been through to get here. Thank you for waiting for me. My gift is you ?."
Allen started his sobriety journey back in May of 2024, while he was still married to Kylie Morgan. In July of that year, he celebrated two months of being sober and called it his "biggest accomplishment yet."
As of May of last year, Allen has been sober for over a year and a half.
Fans Have Question the Integrity of Jay Allen's New Relationship
Many people are wondering if his relationship with Reneé started as an affair. However, Allen claims that it was actually Morgan who was having an affair, not the other way around.
In a new social media post, Allen claims that not only did Morgan cheat, but she also wasn't as supportive of his sobriety journey as she could have been. "To set the record straight...my ex had an affair on ME, and that was why we got divorced," he wrote. "I found out in the fall of 2024, and that it was happening behind my back, in my home." He continued, "I was already unhappy as she did not support my sobriety and was obviously trying to hide something, but this gave me a reason to move on."
Allen then clapped back at the haters, explaining that while his engagement to Reneé might seem swift, it isn't really anyone's business.
"From the beginning, Reneé has supported my sobriety and helped heal my heart," he shared. "To some, 10 months may seem fast, but our engagement is our personal decision that we have diligently prayed over — not yours."
Jay Allen is currently headlining on his Living Gracefully Tour, which runs through mid-2026.
