Country Artists React to Joe Biden's Presidential Election Victory

Ever since Saturday morning (Not. 7), when a projected win in Pennsylvania cleared former Vice President Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris' path to the White House, country stars and Americana artists from all ends of the political spectrum have been vocal on social media.

Maren Morris, a known supporter of Biden's bid to become president of the United States, simply said "exhale" after the media projected Pennsylvania as blue, pushing Biden's electoral vote total past 270.

"I feel like my terrible shroom trip finally ended today and a kind friend was like 'here's some water and an unlimited stream of Office episodes. It's gonna be ok'," Morris added in a separate Saturday Tweet.

Texas native Kacey Musgraves giddily waved goodbye to President Donald Trump in a series of Tweets, with highlights including a claim that she's "only touring Pennsylvania from now on."

It's not the only state-related promise to American voters. As reported last week, Jason Isbell teased a covers album of Georgia artists if Biden wins the still-contested Peach State.

Martina McBride's proudly sporting her "I Voted" sticker while praising a pair of cable networks.

"The most hopeful and most calming thing for me is the way both CNN and Fox News are speaking intelligently, compassionately and focused on moving this country forward for all Americans," she wrote. "Talking about bringing this country together. We desperately need that. I'm feeling relieved."

Country music artists with Republican leanings have had just as much to say about Election Day results.

Travis Tritt has become as constant a conservative political voice on social media as his late buddy Charlie Daniels' team. For instance, Tritt's spoken out against what he considers liberal hypocrisy.

"Have you noticed that many Biden supporters who accused Trump supporters of being divisive are making some of the most divisive statements now? Hypocrites!," he wrote.

Dukes of Hazzard star turned country singer John Schneider questions the validity of the presidential election's vote count and challenges Democrats to pause their victory party until legal challenges have been addressed.

"My sincere recommendation is that those who are banking on this 'projection' to be 'written in stone' save yourselves the embarrassment of losing yet again to not only the justice system but the very core of what the United States of America is all about," Schneider wrote on Facebook.

John Rich also challenges whether current projections legitimately mirror the American people's support of the Biden-Harris ticket over the current president.

"What would be happening right now if this election scenario was reversed?," Rich asked. "If there was suspicious activity that potentially compromised even one vote for Biden? Can someone paint me that picture?"

Morgan Wallen and Chase Rice questioned the difference between outdoor celebrations of Biden's victory during the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and packed live music performances.

Other political posts of note include Kelsea Ballerini's admission that she was a first time voter.

"Embarrassingly but honestly, this is my first time voting," Ballerini wrote on Twitter. "I'm not proud of it, but my naivety has kept me sheltered through a lot of my young adult life. BUT. As I've listened and learned, I've realized its our responsibility and privilege to use our voices to establish what we as human beings with beating hearts want to see in this country for not only ourselves...but our friends, neighbors, strangers, and future generations."
