Country Stars React to Historic Hurricane Harvey

On Friday, Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the Texas coast as a massive Category 4 storm. Although it has been nearly four days since it first hit the Lone Star State, residents in Houston and surrounding areas are still dealing with catastrophic rains and flooding. The National Weather Service says that the storm, which has stalled out over the area, will continue to drop record rainfall over the remainder of the week.

Thousands are expected to be housed in shelters over the coming months, and rescue efforts from the National Guard and volunteers are ongoing. At least five people have died directly from Hurricane Harvey, and officials have warned that the number is expected to increase when floodwaters recede.
