In the most recent game between the Cowboys and The Commanders the players were not the ones getting all the action. A Cowboys cheerleader stole the spotlight, but not for a reason she was expecting. The poor woman is now trending on the internet after she was nailed in the head by a football.

As a previous cheerleader myself, I know the sport can be dangerous. However, when I imagine the dangers that accompany cheerleading I think of spraining ankles, falling from stunts, or not landing your back tucks. Now I am adding fear of being nailed in the head by a football to the potential dangers list.

This Cowboys cheerleader was just enjoying her life, performing on the sidelines of the game. Until the moment the Cowboy's placekicker Brandon Aubrey kicked the ball. Unfortunately for the cheerleader, the ball veered out of bounds and was hurtling straight for her. Eyes locked on the crowd, she didn't see it coming.

However, a cameraman saw the event unfolding and tried to deflect it, but ultimately missed. Next thing she knows, she was nailed in the back of the head by the football. The NFL shared the

Funny But Not Funny

While many on the internet found the event humorous, those in attendance were kind to the Cowboy's cheerleader. Her squad members rushed to check on her as well as the Commanders punter Tress Way. Despite being almost knocked out, the woman was all smiles. Luckily she seems to be alright.

According to the NY Post she verified in an Instagram post that she is doing well after the incident. Luckily, she is not letting this moment dull her shine. She admitted on Instagram that being a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader has been a lifelong dream of hers. Additionally, she has gotten many honors already this season like winning a games Sidelines Sweetheart.
