Cracker Barrel Customers Believe Major Changes Spell Doom For Chain

Who had a Cracker Barrel remodel on their 2025 bingo card? No one? Well, it's happening, whether the customers like it or not. (Hint, hint, they do not like it.) I don't know about doom for the chain, but it's definitely not a positive switch.

Major Changes For Cracker Barrel

I agree, everybody, it's a stupid move. I don't know if y'all have seen what the new restaurants look like, but phew, they are ugly.

Cracker Barrel is meant to be a Southern comfort-style place. I should be walking in and seeing antiques on the walls. Honestly, I should worry that Grandma might round the corner with the food she made for me. However, this redesign is the total opposite vibe. Sleek, modern, and corporate

I shouldn't feel like my senses are getting railed by corporate b.s. I am confident that there is not a more hideous sight than a modern cracker barrel. Here's a little peek via TikTok at the new digs in Manchester, Tennessee.

Doesn't it just make your skin crawl? And I promise I'm not the only lunatic out here ranting about how gross the new buildings are. It's a pretty popular opinion to have at the moment.

How Do The People Feel About The Remodel?

Yeah, they're not as high on the change as new CEO Julie Felss Masino. Just give a little scroll through the comments! One guy was so angry he commented, "They should just close now. Save their money. This chain is done for."

Yeah, not exactly glowing reviews for the well-respected company.

TikTok is not the only platform in which they've lost some love. On Reddit, they've almost been nastier. And the hate posts aren't just out there in the wild on Reddit. Oh no. They are on the Cracker Barrel specific subreddit. People who are searching for Cracker Barrel are going to see reviews like this one.

I know y'all do not have the time for me to be posting the whole thread here, but here are some of the highlights from the original post.

"Whoever decided to dumb down your restaurant should be fired. You had something different that everyone liked, and now it's going to make those people less likely to go, such as myself."

"I'm sad to see yet another place ruined by a corporation."

Maybe billionaire CEOs know something about the common man that we don't know about ourselves, but I'm willing to bet they don't.
