Crime Expert Says His Knowledge Of Serial Killers Makes Him Irresistible To Women

Professor David Wilson, a 67-year-old criminologist is an expert in serial killers. While the subject is certainly interesting, many women find Wilson interesting himself, so much so that he has received continuous sexual advances, despite him being married.

Wilson, from Scotland, talked about his irresistible nature with Kaye Adams on the How To Be 60 podcast.

"I get quite a lot of sexual approaches and advances," Wilson told Adams, reported by the Daily Mail. "There is something about this world I inhabit that does seem to attract a lot of sexual attention."

He would then recall the many times he had been approached by women who were very into crime and murder. Wilson, after all, was a prominent figure as he has hosted several TV crime series. So, therefore, many women, interested in crime and, of course, serial killers, quickly became infatuated with the expert.

"One woman came up to me on the book tour and said: 'Ooh, I regard you as my murder daddy,'" Wilson recalled. "It's really weird. I've had people slip me telephone numbers. One woman said to me that she'd booked a hotel for the night and she'd got a double bed."

Approaches And Advances

As if being the "murder daddy" wasn't inappropriate enough (and possibly problematic in hindsight), David Wilson then told a story that took place at a book signing. While at the vent, a woman approached him. The woman would quickly unveil her lascivious desires.

"This woman, who smelled of Labradors and incense candles and who was wearing Barbour, wanted her photograph taken. And she slipped her hand under my shirt and she tweaked my nipple," Wilson recalled. He screamed in pain, but everyone laughed. Wilson didn't find it amusing. "Everybody laughed and I said: 'If I had done that to you, that would have been called a sexual assault,'" he added.

While reviewing his past encounters, he compared his situation to that of the alleged murderer and UnitedHealthcare shooter, Luigi Mangione. After he was arrested, photos of Mangione, including his mugshot, quickly became viral, with many voicing their attraction toward him.

"Look at how they sexualized the guy accused of having murdered the CEO of the health insurance company, so quickly," Wilson said. "I found that very interesting."

To help prevent any more inappropriate advances, David Wilson makes sure to wear his wedding ring and talk about his wife. "I make people aware I am not available," he added.

David Wilson talked extensively with serial killer Dennis Nilsen, also known as the Muswell Hill Murderer. Nilsen murdered at least 12 young men and boys between 1978 and 1983 after luring them to his apartment only to strangle them later. He also worked with notorious violent inmate, Charles Bronson.
