DoorDash drivers are no strangers to unique occurrences. Oftentimes, people leave bizarre instructions about how how they want their food left. Sometimes leaving instructions to shout or hide it. Additionally, I am sure they have seen a thing or two they were not expecting. After all, people are sometimes way too comfortable when they are at home. However no amount of experience could have prepared this DoorDash driver for her encounter at Kyle Philippi's house. This man and his family put on an entire home production of The Polar Express for this unsuspecting DoorDash driver.

DoorDash Driver Surprised With Home Production Of Polar Express
The video was shared on TikTok, detailing every step of this incredible interaction. As the unsuspecting DoorDash driver knocks on the door she is greeted by an entire production. One man, assumingely Kyle Philippi, is dressed as the conductor and screams "All Aboard" as the home production of The Polar Express begins.
This family went all out. Multiple people are holding train cutouts as they make it move down the stairs. Once the music starts, the DoorDash driver begins to get into the performance, coming closer to the door and bouncing in tune with the music. There are people playing the piano, people in costume, and even people dressed as the characters from the iconic film. Additionally, it was no small production. There had to have been at least 25 people involved in this performance.
Furthermore, there was music, dancing, singing, instruments, acting, the whole shebang. The woman who was delivering the coffee stood in the doorway slack-jawed. Because honestly, what else would you do in this instance? The camera angle shows some behind the scenes footage of the train boys running around to get back on "track." The entire house was a festive celebration.
Quite The Production
The entire home production of The Polar Express was about two minutes long. As it came to conclusion, the DoorDash driver clapped and cheered. She was an exceedingly good sport about the ordeal. Especially considering she was being recorded the entire time as well.
I cannot imagine what my reaction would have been. You expect it to be a three second encounter where you hand over a bag of coffee, and it turns into a home Broadway performance. As the lead of the production was down on one knee, hitting his final notes, you can see a cloud with the phrase "Save TikTok" written on it.
Then as a consolation prize for witnessing their entire spectacle, they gifted their DoorDash driver with $100 in cash. The woman was ecstatic and very grateful for her holiday surprise. When asked if she wanted to say something she said, "I don't know." Honestly, I can understand why she was overwhelmed haha. It will be one delivery she will never forget.
A Yearly Tradition
Turns out that this home production of the Polar Express was not a one-time thing. Philippi shared with PEOPLE Magazine that these home productions were inspired by his own time as an Uber driver. He told the outlet, "To help someone who is a DoorDasher...was just something that would be fun, and would bless someone."
Additionally, he admits that the productions used to be smaller, but each year they grow larger and more elaborate. Oftentimes, the DoorDash recipients stand speechless as they watch the home productions. However, sometimes they join in on the fun. However Philippi shares that his favorite part of these performances is knowing that he makes a positive impact on these DoorDash individual's lives.
